West Bromwich Albion look favourites to gain promotion to the Premier League this season sitting top of the Championship table at present.
Slaven Bilic’ side have been in excellent form this season, winning an impressive 12 games, drawing six and losing just once in their opening 19 league games.
Whilst the attacking threat West Brom have is obvious to see, many have credited their back four for some excellent performances, having helped keeper Sam Johnstone concede 19 goals so far.
Nathan Ferguson, Kieran Gibbs, Kyle Bartley and Semi Ajayi have been the most regularly used in the Baggies defence and have produced consistently brilliant form.
With the hope of a Premier League promotion fully intact, many fans of the club have taken to social media to discuss the club’s current squad and a latest question via Twitter account @BaggiesHQ has quizzed fans on the current back four.
Questioned whether they would stand the test of the Premier League, fans gave their mixed views.

West Brom face Swansea City this coming weekend knowing a win could further their grip at the top of the table, before a mid-week clash with Wigan Athletic.
Here are just some of the replies:
The question is… would the Premier League be strong enough for Gibbs, Ajayi, Bartley and Ferguson? 🤔
I think it’d compete, there are about 8 premier league teams and 8 championship teams around the same level. They’re capable of pushing towards Mid table level.

I think the back 4 are ok but think we might need a more defensive minded midfielder to protect them if we go up. It wont be like this season where we dominate possession. Many times we’ll be pinned back most of the game.

Let’s get out the championship first

We seem still suspect to cross into the box, but better than having Dawson in the back four
