Burnley are readying a £6 million move for Bristol City full-back Joe Bryan, according to the Telegraph.

Would this be a good signing for Sean Dyche's side?

We discuss....

Joe Bryan needs to ask himself where he is likely to play at Burnley.

At the age of 24, it is now time that the Bristol City man makes the step up to the Premier League and Burnley will be able to offer him European football too but he needs to make the right move.

Burnley will be interested by his ability to play as a left-back, wing-back, central midfielder or winger and he fits the bill as a Sean Dyche type of player who works hard for his team.

George Dagless

I think he'd be a great signing.

There might be a few Bristol City fans sad to see him go but, equally, a fair amount of them will be more than happy with such a figure.

He's a decent player with a good left foot but Robins are hopeful Lloyd Kelly can make a name for himself and this might open up a bigger opportunity for him.

Meanwhile, the Clarets get a hungry player ready to prove himself at the top.

Alfie Burns

Burnley already have two very good left-backs in Stephen Ward and Charlie Taylor, which makes their pursuit of Bryan a strange one.

At £6m, Bryan would be cheap and good value, but that fee might come a little lower than what Bristol City value him at.

It has been an excellent campaign for Bryan at Ashton Gate and Burnley would improve with him amongst their ranks, but for me, they’d have to move Ward or Taylor on to accommodate him.

Chris Gallagher

It's a good move for Burnley.

They will need to add to their squad to cope with the demands of Europa League and Bryan is a good player that can play down the left-side.

For the Bristol City man, a move to the Premier League and European football is obviously going to very appealing although the Robins may think they can get more than the £6m mentioned for their key man.
