Transfer deadline day is well and truly underway and Aston Villa chairman Tony Xia has taken to Twitter to essentially end the Villains' business for the summer.

Here is what Dr Xia said:

Financial Fair Play reuglations have made it difficult for the club to spend big this summer although they have still conducted some good business.

Steve Bruce has managed to bring in players such as John Terry and Robert Snodgrass from the Premier League as the Villains look to regain their place in the Premier League.

That is looking unlikely unless Villa can improve their poor form which has seen them win just one of their opening five games as they sit in 18th place on the Championship table.

Many fans of the club aren’t happy about some of the business that has been done over the summer, but what do fans think of Xia’s latest tweet?
