Peterborough Chairman Darragh MacAnthony has revealed that he has accepted a bid from Charlton Athletic for Marcus Maddison, with the player now ready to discuss personal terms.

The news broke via MacAnthony's personal Twitter account, with the Peterborough chief confirming that other clubs had also placed bids for the 26-year-old attacking midfielder.

It was also revealed that MacAnthony had a meeting with Charlton Chairman Matt Southall last week, with both Maddison and his Posh teammate Ivan Toney topics of discussion.

With personal terms now being discussed between the player's representatives and the club, it looks likely that Charlton will land the attacker, who would be the second signing of the transfer window for the Addicks.
