Nottingham Forest needed a dramatic late winner from Joe Lolley to seal their Championship status for next season with a 2-1 win over Ipswich Town at the City Ground.

The Reds looked to be on their way to nothing more than a point when a Ben Brereton penalty in the 89th minute clawed the game back to 1-1. However, the Reds had another ace up their sleeve in Lolley, who popped up right the death to seal a massive three points and send the home fans into raptures.

With Forest once again struggling in the main this season, there had been a nagging doubt going into the final few games of the season that the Reds could indeed be dragged into the relegation mire and a need a last day win much like season to ensure survival.

It was to be Forest's day though, and it compounded a miserable week for the Tractor Boys, who saw manager Mick McCarthy walk away earlier in the week.
