Leeds United may have got back to winning ways at the weekend, but that has not stopped Whites manager Marcelo Bielsa looking to strengthen his squad, with a move for 17-year-old Hearts full-back Aaron Hickey on the cards, according to the print edition of The Sun on Sunday (October 20, Page 65).

The Jambos starlet has made just 14 senior appearances since making his debut last May and he became the youngest ever player to feature in a Scottish Cup final, as he played 90 minutes in his side's 2-1 defeat to Celtic at Hampden.

So would Hickey prove a good addition to the Leeds United squad?

We discuss........

Liam Drury

"Hearts full-back Aaron Hickey is being linked with a move to Premier League champions Manchester City, a dream for any 17 year-old footballer, however a move to Leeds United could be more ideal for the Scottish wonder-kid.

"At Elland Road, Hickey would be playing under one of the best managers in English football outside of the Premier League in the Argentinian figure of Marcelo Bielsa, who isn’t scared to give youth a chance in Yorkshire.

"Seeking a return to the Premier League, Bielsa has played the likes of Jack Harrison and Jack Clarke regularly since taking over at the former England champions last year and Hickey would thrive with the talent around him at Elland Road.

"Leeds have many players to look up to on their team, and Hickey could be the next big mover to Yorkshire if he was to head to Leeds - which could be a better move for him than heading for U23s football at Manchester City or down south for first-team football with QPR."

Ben Lang

"I like the look of this transfer. Hickey is only 17 but his performances in the Scottish Premiership suggest he will be ready for a Championship move in the near future.

"The defender should continue to establish himself at Hearts for now as he has made a great start to the season, but Leeds would also be a great move for him when the time is right.

"He would surely jump at the opportunity to develop his game under Bielsa if the opportunity is presented to him, while the versatility he possesses means the Leeds boss should also take a liking to him.

"The fact Bielsa has helped develop the likes of Jack Clarke, Jamie Shackleton and Leif Davis since his arrival means Leeds will feel confident they can help continue Hickey's development too."

Luke Phelps

"I'm not sure how good a fit for Leeds, Aaron Hickey would be. He’s clearly a bright player but there’s probably too much competition at right-back at Elland Road.

"He’d be behind both Luke Ayling and Stuart Dallas in the right-back position, and would likely find game-time harder to come by under Marcelo Bielsa.

"Although he can play in the middle too, he almost certainly won't get in ahead of either Ben White or Liam Cooper - he would have to mature much more as a player to get in the current Leeds XI.

"At only 17-years-old, Hickey has the footballing world at his feet. He’s shone in what’s been a poor showing from Hearts this season, but I don't think a move to Yorkshire would suit at this moment."
