Brentford are finally stringing some results together, with their latest win against QPR making a run of three matches unbeaten, pushing the Bees up to 12th in the Championship.

Frank though is not resting on his laurels and is considering a move for 22-year-old Aberdeen striker Sam Cosgrove, according to a report on TEAMtalk.

The English striker has been in sensational form for Aberdeen this season, notching an impressive 15 goals in 17 appearances in all competitions.

But would Cosgrove be a good recruit for the Bees?

We discuss.........

Ned Holmes

"I like the look of this.

"Cosgrove has been in impressive form for Aberdeen, finding the net six times in nine games, and at 22, you feel he could be an exciting prospect for the future.

"Ollie Watkins has been fantastic following the exit of Neal Maupay in the summer, scoring eight goals, but the Bees could do with some more depth at striker and I think Cosgrove could be the man.

"We've seen in recent years that Brentford have planned well for losing their top performers and making this signing could be another example of them doing just that."

Toby Wilding

"I have to question whether they need him to be honest.

"Cosgrove has been really impressive form for Aberdeen since the start of last season, but Brentford are not currently without attackers of a similar ilk.

"Ollie Watkins in particular has been in outstanding form since the start of this campaign, and it is hard to see anyone taking that starting centre forward spot off him anytime soon, which may even put Cosgrove off a potential move to Griffin Park.

"Indeed, with Watkins having adapted so well to being moved into that more central role, it could even be the case that Brentford may be tempted to do that with one of their other wide players should they need to, rather than spend money on someone like Cosgrove, which could instead be spent on strengthening other areas of the squad."

Chris Thorpe

"This is a move that would make a lot of sense for Brentford, particularly as the news has emerged in recent days of an injury to Karelis, which means they are now light in terms of numbers up front.

"Cosgrove would add a great degree of qualities which the Bees are currently lacking, including an aerial threat, which would open up the possibility for Benrahma and Mbeumo to float crosses into the area rather than cutting the ball back as they do often when Watkins is starting in the striking birth.

"The only drawback I can see for Brentford is the fact that Cosgrove could command a substantial fee for his services, particularly as he is one of Aberdeen's standout performers this term.

"It remains to be seen if Brentford will go in for the 22-year-old, as they also have in-form Marcus Forss scoring goals out on loan at AFC Wimbledon to consider recalling, at least Frank now has a few irons in the fire to solve his side's goal scoring struggles."
