With Blackburn mathematically out of the running for both promotion and relegation and Bolton's drop to League One already confirmed, it was far from the most appetising of Lancashire derbies when the two sides met at Ewood Park on Monday afternoon.

But while there will have been few fans away from the two clubs involved will have needed to take much of an interest in this game, there was one group of supporters who may well have raised an eyebrow at one particular moment within the game.

With Rovers ran out comfortable 2-0 winners, it was Ben Brereton who took the headlines, as he netted his first goal for the club since joining from Nottingham Forest in a deal worth £7million the previous summer.

That goal will have come as a big relief to the 19-year-old, and taking to Twitter following his breakthrough, a number of Forest fans appeared pleased for their former asset, while others joked about the striker's significant price tag.

Here are some of the best of their reactions.
