Ipswich Town were knocked out of the FA Cup by League Two Barrow last night and many fans have been left venting their frustration at CEO Mark Ashton.
The two sides met at Holker Street last night in their second round replay after playing out a goalless draw at Portman Road earlier this month.
Jordan Stevens put the home side ahead after 26 minutes when a well-worked corner saw his deflected strike fly into the net and then things went from bad to worse for the Tractor Boys 10 minutes later.
Leeds United loanee Robbie Gotts arrived at the edge of the six-yard box at exactly the right time to smash in Barrow’s second and leave the home support in wonderland.
Ipswich were unable to drag themselves back into the game meaning they go out of the FA Cup at the second round stage and that caretaker boss John McGreal hasn’t won any of his three games at the helm.
McGreal was brought in to take interim charge in early December following the sacking of Paul Cook and it is unclear how close Ipswich are to finding a replacement.
What club do these 20 ex-Ipswich Town strikers play for now?
It seems the Portman Road faithful are starting to get frustrated with the club hierarcy, as their tweets about Ashton show…
Ashton has had almost a fortnight to find a new manager, #itfc players and fans need an announcement ASAP and before Saturday. Squad needs a kick up the backside, fans need something something to look forward to. pic.twitter.com/Q7gruvdOTC

Embarrassing, gutless, passionless. Another massive low for our once great club. Pack out Portman Rd. It should be boycotted in protest. Absolutely fuming. Another false dawn. Ashton sort it out #itfc https://t.co/WWCx96qVgU

The silence from the 3 Lions and Ashton is deafening! #itfc fans are not shocked at this performance or scoreline and we currently feel like a rudderless ship heading towards the rocks with no one willing to take responsibility!
