Football League World's Stoke City fan pundit Andrew Barnett has offered his thoughts on Saturday's clash with Bristol City at the Bet365 Stadium.

And he says that, after an international break in which to refine his tactics, the match could prove to be make or break for under-pressure manager Nathan Jones.

"We have had a couple of weeks away now and a lot of time to regroup, review previous games and tactics and speak with players," the regular punter told Football League World.

"We are now nearly 10 games in and need to see a win.

"We are at home and something needs to give before the hierarchy are forced to make a change I’m sure they don’t want.

"Furthermore if a result and performance doesn’t come out way today and with games against Forrest, Swansea and West Brom all looming I fear the worst for Jones"

With six matches played, the Potters prop up the second tier table with just one point to their name, despite carrying out a host of impressive transfer deals.

The likes of Nick Powell, Liam Lindsay, Adam Davies, Lee Gregory and Tommy Smith all made the move to join a squad that already had plenty of Championship experience, but the struggles of last season have persisted.

Jones arrived in Stoke during the January transfer window, after a slow start to the previous campaign saw Gary Rowett sacked as manager.

But with their final match before the international break seeing them lose 2-1 away to Birmingham City, patience is running out, with a positive performance against the Robins a must.
