QPR are really struggling under Steve McClaren this season and maybe the time has come for the Loftus Road boss to start taking some risks, to try and get his charges moving up the table and away from a potential relegation dog-fight.

But with all the options open to him, is there a risk McClaren should be taking?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

There’s plenty he could have taken, but I think the horse has well and truly bolted.

He could have kept Ryan Manning and given him a chance. He could have tried to sign any of the players he was linked with but faltered over.

He has some excellent young talent, but nothing to mould them together.

When he did sign experience, it was at right back, when he needed it in the middle of the park.

I fear his chance to take a risk has gone.

I am sure that with Queens Park Rangers in their current predicament, Steve McClaren will be doing all he can to get them up the league.

If the first idea fails, then he will move on to the next one, and then the next, and so on, and so forth.

There isn’t a risk he won’t take to find the right formula to get QPR up the league.

George Dagless

I'm not sure.

It's always something to worry about when you're near the bottom as taking a risk can back-fire.

QPR have decent attackers, though, so maybe they should just go for it every game and see what happens.
