West Brom continue to remain in the mix at the top of the Championship as the half-way point in the season approaches, with the Baggies in fifth place in the table, seven points off leaders Norwich City.

With the January transfer window just around the corner, Darren Moore  will be considering whether he needs to bring in any recruits to help to maintain their promotion challenge and will be wary of clubs coming in for his in-form stars.

But who is the one player West Brom simply cannot afford to lose in January?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

Harvey Barnes – it’s that obvious.

If Leicester recall the talismanic youngster due to an injury crisis, I think that would completely derail their chances of promotion this season.

His influence has transcended his performances, and the impact he has on the team is felt throughout.

Without him, they look to offer little in advanced areas to be the link between the middle third and final third of the pitch.

George Harbey

Matt Phillips is perhaps an unsung hero in the Albion team and is quickly proving himself to be one of the best players in the league.

He offers so much pace and power down the right flank and is a huge player for the Baggies.

Gary Hutchinson

One they’re most likely to lose; Harvey Barnes.

I fear for the Baggies, there’s something very fragile about their promotion challenge.

I think one player leaving, maybe Barnes, and it all folds like a bad poker hand.

I hope I’m wrong for Darren Moore’s sake.
