Writing in his prediction column for Sky Sports, David Prutton has revealed he is expecting Brighton and Hove Albion to clinch the Sky Bet Championship title this weekend, by recording a victory over Norwich City.
Prutton is expecting Chris Hughton’s side to beat Norwich 2-1 at Carrow Road and confirm their status as Champions.
Brighton recorded back-to-back victories over the Easter period to clinch promotion to the top-flight for the first time in 34 years, leaving second-placed Newcastle United in their shadow.
Previewing Friday night’s clash, Prutton said: “Understandably, all eyes will be on Brighton and whether they can clinch the title with a victory.
“Having coped with the pressure at the weekend, I fancy them to get the job done at Carrow Road.”
Norwich’s Play-Off hopes faded away over Easter, with the Canaries now ten-points adrift of sixth-placed Fulham, with just three fixtures of the season remaining.
Alan Irvine’s side are currently eighth in the Championship table, and cannot finish any higher, as seventh-placed Leeds United are also ten-points ahead of Norwich.
