Steven Naismith looks set to exit Norwich City this window with several Scottish clubs showing an interest in the former Everton man.

The 31-year old is not in Daniel Farke’s plans at all and with the Canaries desperate to get the Scotland international off their books, a move seems likely. Naismith joined when Norwich were in the Premier League and is sure to be a big earner at Carrow Road.

Hearts were the latest SPL side to be linked with a move for Naismith however recent reports have suggested that Rangers is the players preferred destination.

He enjoyed a very successful period with the Glasgow giants before their financial troubles hit although he did anger a large section of supporters with comments he made upon leaving.

Nevertheless, whilst an agreement hasn’t been reached, it is clear Naismith wants to go back to Ibrox.

So, should we expect to see that move happen before the window closes?

We take a look…

Sam Preston

I don't see why not.

Rangers are linked with the player, and he is desperate to go back to his former club. There is no future for him at Norwich and although there is interest from Kilmarnock, Rangers would be the better deal all round.

Luke Randall

Yes, it looks likely.

After becoming surplus to requirements at Carrow Road, the Scottish attacker has always managed to find a way to score goals at Ibrox.

Therefore, with his career coming towards a close, a move back to Scotland would be pleasing for Naismith.

George Dagless

I expect Rangers to get this one done.

Norwich City clearly do not want him anymore and so I think the Gers should get this one wrapped up.

Hearts may also be interested in the Scotsman but I'd imagine he'll be playing at Ibrox as his next move.
