Leeds United host Championship strugglers Ipswich Town on Wednesday night with manager Marcelo Bielsa looking to get his side out of the slump, that has affected them over the last few weeks and saw them concede the top spot in the Championship.

Having been hit with injuries and suspensions to key personnel, Bielsa has had a tough job on his hands selecting from a squad that is already cut to the bone.

One player who was signed in the summer but has struggled to break into the Whites' side is midfielder Lewis Baker.

Baker was Bielsa's first signing at Leeds and he will be hoping for more game time under the Argentine, having had an unsuccessful loan spell at Middlesbrough last season.

So will Baker be used much at Leeds in the near future? Or can you see him continuing on the sidelines?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

It’s a difficult one.

Baker’s potential is a good one, but for him to fulfill that potential, he needs regular game time and he clearly isn’t getting that at Leeds this season.

Due to the good form shown by first-choice midfielders Saiz and Klich, I struggle to see a way he can be consistently involved in the starting XI.

George Dagless

Potentially.

I think it's time for Leeds to shake things up after the weekend.

The wins have dried up despite their controlling possession and it might be time to shake up the playing staff.

You learn more in a defeat than a loss, and Marcelo Bielsa will look at his side and possibly freshen it up on Wednesday evening.

Lewis Baker was an unused substitute in the defeat to Blackburn last weekend, and he could be considered.

All of his eight appearances for the Whites this season have been from the start so you would imagine he would be involved from the start if called upon.

Gary Hutchinson

I can’t.

I don’t understand this signing now. Maybe Bielsa has stumbled on a method that works without him.

Maybe he felt pressured to bring a player in.

Either way, baker hasn’t shone at all. Not good for him, two failed loans in the Championship.
