Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa is considering a move for Bournemouth defender Tyrone Mings, amid speculation that Aston Villa and West Brom are keen on the player also, as reported in the Birmingham Mail.
Mings has struggled for game-time at Dean Court this season, with only seven appearances in all competitions for the Cherries so far and with Chris Mepham likely to arrive at Dean Court from Brentford, a move away may be the only option for the 25-year-old.
So would Mings be a good acquisition for Leeds?
We discuss.....
Jay Taylor
“It would be a pretty good deal for Leeds; I think Barry Douglas needs some real competition as he has so far failed to hit the heights of last year's promotion-winning form when he was with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
“Bringing in Mings could sure up the squad, add competition and depth and push Leeds to the Premier League."
Louie Chandler
"Definitely.
"I am not sure he is massively needed, but if they can get him and prevent others from landing him then why not?
"There always seems to be a hole to plug somewhere in the Leeds defence so it could be a smart move."
Gary Hutchinson
“He’s not for Leeds in my opinion.
“I can see him going to his other apparent suitors, but not Leeds.
“They have a left back and when Cooper and Jansson are fit they have their centre backs too.
“Where would he play then?”
Jacob Potter
"I don’t think they need him at all.
"There’s no doubting that Mings is an excellent left-back, but with Leeds now having a number of key players returning to the squad, they don’t need Mings.
"Leeds would be foolish to waste a player of his talent this season."
