Sheffield United are preparing for life in the Premier League next season and for manager Chris Wilder, he has some big decisions to make regarding his playing squad, as he looks to build a side capable of challenging in the English top-flight.

One decision regards on-loan goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who has been a constant for Wilder this season on a season-long loan from Manchester United.

Henderson, it is reported in the Manchester Evening News, is looking to hold talks with United this week, with a view to extending his time at the Blades for another season.

But rather than a further loan-spell away from Old Trafford, should in fact the 22-year-old be looking to break through at United next season, especially on the back of David De Gea's recent wobbles?

We discuss........

George Brooks

"I don’t think so. Even though he’s going through a difficult spell at the moment, De Gea is still one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

"Henderson is a very talented goalkeeper and has performed exceptionally well for Sheffield United in the Championship this season.

"He could have a big future ahead of him at Old Trafford, but I don’t think it is his time yet."

Gary Hutchinson

“Yes.

“Give De Gea the league games, Henderson the Europa League and domestic cup matches.

“Makes for an easier transition beyond that.

“He’s a good keeper, if they’re going to blood him it needs to be soon.”

Jacob Potter

"I can’t see him being given a chance.

"I have no doubting that Henderson deserves a chance in the Man Utd squad next season, but we have to be realistic.

"There’s no way that United are going to drop De Gea ahead of him.

"Henderson should look for a permanent move elsewhere in the summer."
