Norwich City held onto top spot in the Championship despite only achieving a 0-0 draw against struggling Hull City, a result that cut the Canaries' lead in the table to a single point from second placed Leeds United.

Prior to the match though Tigers boss Nigel Adkins, was reported in the Eastern Daily Press as saying that he thought "Leeds were good but Norwich are probably better".

“I’ve watched the footage of Norwich and they’re top of the league for a reason. They’re an excellent side,” said former Scunthorpe and Southampton boss Adkins.

So is Adkins right in his assessment of Norwich and Leeds?

We discuss.....

I think Norwich have a better overall team and more depth in their side, too.

So I agree with Nigel Adkins on this point, and you can see that with how consistent and dominant they have been as the season has progressed.

At present, they are pound-for-pound the best side in the league and are the most consistent and well-drilled.

It’s no surprise they are top really, and Leeds are where they are - the table doesn’t lie so on face value, Norwich are better, and into more detail, with squads etc., they are better than Leeds there, too.

Gary Hutchinson

They’re top, so it is hard not to.

It might be a basic way of looking at things, but whoever has more points are surely the best side?

It’s obvious Adkins is respecting his opponent though; his comments are off the cuff.

Louie Chandler

I don't think so.

It's certainly close but I think over the course of the season Leeds have been more impressive and played an exciting brand of football rarely seen in the Championship.

That's not to say Norwich have not been brilliant, however.

George Harbey

I certainly think those two teams will be up there come the end of the season.

The football that they both play is sensational, and is something different to what we’ve seen in this league.

I wouldn’t like to choose between either to be honest.
