Stoke City's 'hit and miss' start to the season continues with the Potters now nine points off leaders Leeds United, ahead of the weekend trip to Carrow Road to play fifth-place Norwich City.

For Nigerian World Cup star Peter Etebo it has been a start at the bet365 Stadium to match that of his team as he has struggled to consistently perform in Gary Rowett's side.

So is Etebo struggling to adapt to life in the Championship?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

Without a doubt.

His impact for Stoke this season has been minimal, and ineffective at best.

Etebo has failed to hold down a first team place consistently this term.

Despite looking like a bargain after his performances for Nigeria in the World Cup, he has flattered to deceive and looks like a waste of money at present.

Gary Hutchinson

Yes, although it could be endemic of the situation at the Potters.

There’s a few who look poor this season. When did Ryan Shawcross suddenly become such a bad defender?

I’m not convinced we won’t see another managerial change soon.

I don’t think Rowett can motivate his players.

George Harbey

I don’t think Etebo is struggling to adapt at all, he has been one of Stoke’s bright sparks in what has been a miserable start to the season back in the Championship.

I think he was dropped purely to fitness reasons, as on his day, he is a great player.

George Dagless

Perhaps.

He's played a lot of games but we've not really seen him at the level he was at at the World Cup - just promising flashes at times.

I like his energy and think he will come good but it's clear he's got a little way to go to get that consistency.

Jacob Potter

I think for any player that comes over to play in England, there is always difficulties with the transition.

Etebo revealed he turned down Premier League clubs to join Stoke and I feel as though he’s struggling to justify the price tag Stoke paid for him. He is yet to score in England and with the arrival of Ryan Woods, he has got competition for his place so I think we will soon see the best of him.
