Marcelo Bielsa has had a testing time in recent weeks as he has dealt with numerous selection issues within his compact Leeds United squad, brought on by suspensions and injuries to key personnel.

The absence of first choice players has given the opportunity to others and young Jack Clarke is a perfect example of a player who has fully grasped the chance when it was presented to him.

Clarke was a second half substitute in the win against Reading coming on for Gjanni Alioski and he looked bright, but has he done enough to start this weekend?

We discuss.....

Gary Hutchinson

Yes, why not?

I usually like to see a side stick with the players who won a game, but Clarke was on the pitch for the second 45 against Reading and that was the winning side.

He’s young, but if you’re good enough, you’re old enough.

Exciting times for the 18-year old.

George Harbey

I don’t see why not.

Alioski has looked slightly laboured and poor in recent weeks, whereas Clarke has looked energetic and lively and definitely deserves a chance sooner rather than later.

What a talent he could be.

Jay Taylor

Ezgjan Alioski is another Leeds player who has been out of form in recent weeks and a spell on the bench and time to recover a bit could do him a world of good.

Jack Clarke was impressive when he came on in the win over Reading, so there is no reason why he shouldn’t be given a chance from the off.

If he can perform to his maximum against Sheffield United at the weekend, it could be the making of the young man at Leeds.
