Clubs around Europe will have been alerted by the news that Juventus are keen to send young striker Moise Kean, out on loan in January, according to Goal.

Leeds United are alleged to be interested in the player, so should rivals Aston Villa look at the player as well?

Dean Smith is plotting a route to get his side back into promotion contention in the Championship, and if the opportunity to sign Kean arises, he may be tempted to join the Whites in the transfer hunt for him.

So should Villa join the race to sign Kean?

No.

He's a good young player but Villa have enough attacking options.

If they are going to sign players in January they need to go after defensive recruits.

I think it would be the type of signing that Dean Smith would have potentially made if he was at Brentford.

A relatively unknown over on these shores but a wonderkid on Football Manager he hasn’t kicked on as Juventus would have liked.

With Mario Mandzukic, Paolo Dybala and a certain Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of him, he might look for a way out and it would be no surprise to see him in the Championship.

Even though Villa are alright in the striker department, this could be too good an opportunity to pass up should they get involved.

Sam Rourke

I couldn't see him starting.

Villa already have a plethora of attacking options, with the likes of Tammy Abraham, Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan all pushing for the striker spot at Villa Park.

This would have been a signing Smith would have made at Brentford, not Villa.
