Mike Dean reached a special milestone in his refereeing career on Tuesday night, as he issued his 100th red card in Manchester United’s defeat to Wolves.
Ashley Young was the man to be issued with the red, and it proved costly as Wolves ran out narrow, 2-1 winners over the Red Devils.
Dean’s next game in charge is at the weekend when he takes charge of Leeds’ game against Birmingham City.
Leeds will be hoping that they can sweep the relegation-threatened Blues away in a routine manner on the day, and they’ll be keen to avoid any costly mistakes at this stage of the season.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are currently sat 2nd in the Championship table and will fancy their chances at making a long-awaited return to the Premier League.
It’s safe to say that Dean’s latest appointment for the game this weekend, sparked a reaction from Leeds United supporters.

The end of our season. We must not get involved with the opposition and officials disruptive tactics. Just beat them with pure football.
