Whilst bound to be satisfied with Leeds United's start to the season, manager Marcelo Bielsa will be aware that success on the pitch only heightens the interest in his players, amid reports that Burnley continue to keep tabs on Polish international Mateusz Klich, as reported on Football Insider.

The Clarets were keen on the 29-year-old in the summer and with the player entering the last year of his current deal at Elland Road, Bielsa faces a nervous wait to see whether Sean Dyche comes back in for him.

But is Klich ready to make the step up into the Premier League?

We discuss............

Gary Hutchinson

“I can’t see why not; genuinely. I know some will feel that’s an overstatement and if Leeds went up he’d be one to replace, but I see quality in him.

“He’s an unassuming professional. I don’t think you’d ever see him embroiled in a controversy or being too outspoken. He gets on with his job and works hard, which fits Burnley.

“If you asked is he ready for West Ham, Everton or somewhere like that, then no, he’s not. I couldn’t see him going somewhere that he needed to be an individual.

“However, Burnley are a tight unit, effective as a functional team and Klich, with international experience, would fit right in to that.”

Jacob Potter

"He’s as ready as he’ll ever be.

"Klich has really impressed me this season, and I think he’s ready to make the step up to the Premier League in the near future.

"It’ll be interesting to see whether Leeds are in talks over a new deal for the midfielder, as Burnley could be a tempting offer for the Polish international in January.

"Any player wants to play at the highest level possible, and Klich would be more than good enough to play for Sean Dyche’s side on a regular basis in the top-flight.

"He’s his his best form so far this term, and he’d be more than deserving of a move to the Premier League at this stage of his career in my opinion."

George Brooks

"Mateusz Klich is a very talented footballer and he was magnificent for Leeds in the Championship last season. His performances so far this season have been promising and he could be ready to make the step up to the Premier League.

"It would be a major blow for Leeds if he was to leave to join Burnley, but I can't see that happening.

"There's a good chance that Leeds will be a Premier League club again next season, so I think Klich would rather stay at Elland Road and try to help the team win promotion.

"I think he's capable of playing at a higher level though and I'm sure he'll be determined to prove that with Leeds."
