Middlesbrough striker Rudy Gestede is one of a number of strikers being considered by Nottingham Forest, according to the Nottingham Post.

Forest are unbeaten in their opening five Championship fixtures, but they have only managed one win, so the addition of a target man could prove pivotal with Gestede fitting the bill.

The Benin international hasn’t had the best of times in front of goal in recent seasons, scoring just nine times in his past 50 league appearances.

So would Gestede be a good addition to Forest?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

I can’t see this being a good move.

The Boro forward I feel is not fluid enough to influence in the system that Aitor Karanka wishes to play.

He is too similar to Daryl Murphy and why have two of the same, and decide you want that type of player three days before the loan window closes?

This one just doesn’t make sense to me.

Gary Hutchinson

No, no no!

Gestede isn’t a Championship player for me.

He’s not getting in at Boro, so why move to Forest?

They’ve got Soudani and Grabban and those pair should be scoring.

George Dagless

Potentially.

It depends which Gestede they get.

If it's the powerful presence from Middlesbrough he'll be good but if it's the Villa version he may struggle.

It's likely the former would arrive though.
