Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa will join a host of clubs in an attempt to sign Juventus striker Steph Mavididi on loan for the coming season, after an impressive campaign in the U23’s, led to a first team call-up for the Bianconieri, as exclusively reported on TEAMtalk.
Everton, Newcastle, Southampton, Burnley, Aston Villa, Leeds, Derby, Fulham and Middlesbrough are among those also keen to sign the former Arsenal man.
So, can you realistically see Mavididi turning out at Elland Road next season amid this latest link?
“It is a deal which suits all parties involved, so it could easily happen.
“Mavididi needs game time in men’s football, and has only experienced that in short loan spells at Preston and Charlton so far.
“He has a lot of potential but he needs to show what he can do. Playing under Bielsa should help him massively and in a winning team he will only grow in confidence.”
“I can’t see it for one minute, no.
“I suppose if he were coming back to England, Leeds would be a good fit. They’re a big club playing in front of passionate fans.
“He’s a livewire and would be a great acquisition, but why on earth would he move? Why would Juve sell him>
“This is paper talk, I’m sure of it.”
“Leeds could do with another forward to provide competition for Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford, so this would be a smart signing.
“I think this signing could happen on loan.
“Leeds are a very attractive club and if Mavididi has already had loan spells at Charlton and Preston then he could be tempted by a move to Elland Road.
“He probably isn’t going to get a proper chance at Juventus next season, so another loan move would make sense.”
“It’s a deal that makes sense.
“You don’t have to be a genius to know that Leeds need more attacking depth in their squad ahead of next season, and Mavididi has the attributes to succeed in the Championship.
“I think he has a bright future ahead of him, and he’ll surely be tempted by a move to Elland Road.
“There’s a serious chance they could win promotion with him in their squad, and Mavididi could prove to be one of the signings of the season if he can hit the ground running.”
