Journalist James Hunter revealed that Sunderland right back Bryan Oviedo travelled to West Brom last night with a view to a move, but it hasn't happened due to a late hitch.

The Costa Rican had been tipped to join Celtic, but instead found himself talking to Darren Moore's promotion-chasing Baggies.

The move hasn't worked out for him and he'll now be a Sunderland player until the summer at least.

It leaves the 27-year-old in a tough position.

He's been ousted at right back by Reece James and despite showing an impeccable attitude since relegation, he's one player who many expected to leave. He's only started nine League One games for Jack Ross' side, this for a player who was a Premier League regular two years ago.

Where does the latest developments leave him mentally? What exactly will Bryan Oviedo be feeling right now and where does his future go from here? Our FLW panel discuss what he'll be thinking right now after West Brom deal collapses.

Jacob Potter

"He should be concentrating on life with Sunderland.

"He wouldn't have been getting much game time with the Baggies and this move would have been wrong for both parties involved.

"Oviedo should be focused on helping play his part in Sunderland's promotion bid from now on."

Louie Chandler

"I can't imagine he'll be too fussed.

"He is probably happy to stay at Sunderland and pick up his hefty wage each week.

"I am sure he would have liked a move to a top Championship side, but I imagine it was Sunderland who were more eager to get him off their roster."

Gary Hutchinson

"Most players might be a bit cheesed off, these deadline day collapses can leave them with egg on their face.

"Having seen his attitude at Sunderland this season and his integrity too, I think he'll be fine.

"It'll be disappointing, of course it will, but I suspect he'll just get on with the task in hand."
