Football League World's Queens Park Rangers fan pundit Louis Moir has given his thoughts on the reported interest in R's full back Ryan Manning from Premier League clubs, with the full back's solid performances having attracted attention this season.

Manning has been in superb form for the club since manager Mark Warburton moved the natural midfielder into his now primary position of left-back this season, with the 23-year-old Irishman having registered three assists and one goal in thirteen games in all competitions.

It is perhaps no surprise that Manning's form has attracted interest from club's in the top division, with the youngster proving to be adept at playing a number of positions, and as such we decided to ask Moir for his opinion on the reported interest in his club's star, to which he responded:

"There have been rumours that teams such as Southampton and Newcastle are being linked with the signing of Ryan Manning in January but personally, I cannot see this happening.

"He has played eleven games so far this season at full back to great effect, however I think it would be quite risky for Premier League clubs to sign him at this early stage.

"I think he needs to prove himself over the course of a season and then clubs might try to look into buying him in the summer, but I would be very surprised if he does end up going in January."

The QPR fan pundit was then asked how much he felt the 23-year-old would be worth in today's transfer market, to which he replied:

"Realistically you could only see Manning leaving for a couple million but if I was in charge, I would be asking for more.

"A bid of between five and ten million would be acceptable as he is still only 23-years-old and I am sure he will be receiving his Republic of Ireland call up soon, as they are now desperately looking for a left-back."

If Manning continues his early season form up until January, QPR may face a fight on their hands to keep the young star at the club, with the lure of Premier League football maybe proving to be too strong in the end.
