‘I can see this working out nicely’ – Interesting Stoke City manager news emerges: The verdict

Published

on

Derby County manager Gary Rowett has emerged as the man to take the manager’s job at Stoke City, according to the Mirror.

Would this be a good move for the Potters? Should the Rams do everything to keep hold of him?

We discuss….

Ben Barkworth

Rowett would be a good appointment for Stoke due to his experience at this level as well as been effective with the resources he has at his disposal.

He would bring stability in a key time for the club and could even send them straight back up.

Alfie Burns

It’d be a good move for Stoke, but I can’t see Rowett leaving Derby to take the job at Stoke.

Derby are constantly improving under Rowett, who shouldn’t be turning his back on the project at Pride Park.

Chris Gallagher

It would be a good move for him.

Derby are not going to be able to spend like they have done and Rowett would definitely have more chance of going up with Stoke as opposed to the Rams next season.

It would also be a smart move from the Potters as Rowett knows all about the division and is clearly a talented manager.

George Dagless

You’d feel for Derby.

Stoke are looking to bounce straight back from the second tier and will have the budget to do so more than most.

With Derby set to tighten their purse strings this summer, too, it’s a move that Rowett will fancy.

I can see this working out nicely.
