QPR winger Bright Osayi-Samuel is being watched over by a number of Premier League clubs, with Southampton among the sides said to be keen on the exciting attacker. according to a report by Football Insider.
Osayi-Samuel, 22, has been in impressive form this season, but with the player out of contract at the end of the season, interested clubs may well smell an opportunity, though QPR have the option to extend his deal by a further year if they wish.
So would Osayi-Samuel be a good signing by the Saints and is he good enough for the Premier League?
“I can see this being a good signing for Southampton.
“Osayi-Samuel is clearly an exciting player, and he does seem to have the willingness to take the game to opposition defences in a way that could help give an added attacking impetus to a side such as Southampton, who have found themselves lacking in that at times this season.
“Having become an increasingly important figure for QPR throughout his time at the club, it does seem as though the attacker is capable of adapting to his surroundings, which bodes well for any potential adjustment to life in the Premier League he may have to make.
“You feel that is an opportunity the player himself will also be keen to take should it come along, and with his contract set to expire at the end of this season, this could be the perfect time for Southampton to make their move to potentially secure his signature for a reduced fee.”

“It comes as no surprise to see Osayi-Samuel linked with a Premier League move given the nature of his impressive form this season, and I think he is the exact kind of player who could thrive by making the jump to the top-flight.
“The attacker clearly possesses an abundance of quality and is also fearless in his approach, and the combination of these two factors mean he should be unfazed by playing against Premier League opposition regularly.
“However, I think the best move for Osayi-Samuel would be to remain at QPR for the immediate future, and he should follow in the footsteps of his teammate Eberechi Eze by developing at the club before making a top-flight move.
“It seems likely that Eze will move on this summer after impressing for Mark Warburton’s side in the Championship, and this means Osayi-Samuel should now have the chance to become the Rs’ key man next season before making a Premier League move.”
“I think this could be a really exciting signing for Southampton to make.
“Ebere Eze has rightfully drawn a lot of the attention at QPR but Bright Osayi-Samuel deserves his own plaudits.
“The 22-year-old has scored four goals and contributed five assists this season and has, at times, been impossible to contain.
“I think he has Premier League potential but he may be too raw for it right away, so the Saints may have to be patient with this one.”
