What does Adlene Guedioura's future hold at Nottingham Forest?

The 32-year-old returned to The City Ground for his second spell on deadline day in January, starting six times and coming off the bench for a further five outings in the latter half of last season.

But will he have a central role to play in Nottingham Forest's campaign next season.

FLW writers discuss the Algerian international's prospects...

Jay Taylor

With the influx of new signings and only having played 12 times for Forest last season, having a big role looks like small odds.

More midfielders have been brought in and Guedioura’s place looks under threat.

He will be a good squad player but as for starting week in, week out, that looks like it could be rare for the Algerian.

Jay Williams

Guedioura would provide good back-up for Forest, given his vast experience at Championship level.

But he is unlikely to be starting regularly, especially given the new signings Aitor Karanka has brought in.

Gary Hutchinson

No, not really. He's 32-years old now and they've brought in better players in his position.

I'd expect him to leave shortly.

Christian Fuller

As much as Guedioura is a strong Championship level player, I can only see him playing second fiddle this coming season for Forest.

The first time at the club he was fresh and exciting, and while he still has talent, the younger boys might just get the nod above the veteran midfielder this season.
