Uncertainty continues to surround West Brom, with the board still needing to appoint a permanent manager ahead of the new season, with pre-season only a few weeks away.

The lack of a permanent boss impacts on the current squad and any potential transfer business, with the future of players like full-back Kieran Gibbs a little uncertain especially after the Baggies failed to get promotion this season following play-off semi-final defeat.

Fenerbahce are one club to have been linked with a move for Gibbs, as per Turkish outlet Fanatik, so it remains unclear as to where his future lies.

So with all this in mind, do you think Gibbs will still be a West Brom player at the start of the new season?

We discuss........

Kealan Hughes

“I can definitely see him moving on.

“There could be a deal which suits both club and player. Gibbs will be very keen to play in the Premier League, and the club will want his wages off the wage bill, and a fee would also go a long way to help a rebuild.

“Gibbs is a good player but he isn’t irreplaceable. This gives West Brom the chance to go after a young player with a lot of potential, who they could bed into a promotion push.”

Toby Wilding

"Not anymore.

"Having missed out on promotion last season, you feel Gibbs will be keen on a return to the top tier sooner rather than later.

"With reports now suggesting that The Baggies will be looking to reduce their wage bill in the summer, you imagine Gibbs could be one they look to move along to make a difference in that sense."

Louie Chandler

"I think he could be on his way.

"Gibbs was great last season but is he worth the no doubt hefty wages he will be on? I don't think so.

"Connor Townsend has been waiting patiently for his opportunity and I would like to see him given a chance."
