Despite seven points from a possible nine in their last three outings, Stoke City continue to underachieve in the Championship this season under manager Gary Rowett with the Potters down in 14th place, nine points off leaders Sheffield United.

Rowett has been unable to get any consistency from his players with a return of four wins, four draws and four defeats hardly the return for a promotion chasing side.

But who in the squad is past their sell by date and should be shown the door come January?

We discuss.....

Jay Taylor

Jack Butland.

If there is a Premier League side struggling or an upper-end Championship team wanting a new goalkeeper I can see the Stoke man leaving.

He was subject of interest in the summer but nothing came about - so clubs could relaunch their interest in the Stoke man come January.

Gary Hutchinson

It is hard to call because I can’t see the manager still being there in the window, making the recruitment very difficult.

I would imagine very soon that Afalley will be on his way, mainly because he isn’t playing.

George Harbey

Charlie Adam - I can 100% see him being axed.

At 32, the Scotsman isn’t getting any younger and Rowett may look to sell before his contract expires.

Jacob Potter

Charlie Adam has only featured once this season against Rotherham and with a considerable amount of competition for places in the centre of midfield, Adam will surely be sold in January.
