West Brom are set to be dealt a frustrating blow, with reports emerging from the Birmingham Mail, that Manchester City are looking to recall Tosin Adarabioyo from his loan spell this month.

The on-loan defender has made 16 starts in total for the Baggies, but has seen his game time limited in recent weeks, due to the arrival of Mason Holgate.

Adarabioyo was a valuable member to have in the West Brom squad and could play as both a full-back and a centre-back for Darren Moore's side this season.

But with Holgate's arrival, Manchester City are seemingly unhappy with his lack of game time, and he could be loaned out again this month to find himself regular game time.

The Baggies are currently well in the promotion hunt this season, and are just four points adrift of Leeds who occupy top spot in the Championship.

But how big of a blow is this latest development for West Brom?

We discuss....

George Harbey:

"Now they've signed Holgate, I don't see it as a massive blow.

"Adarabioyo has been great for West Brom and has rarely but a foot wrong, so it's a blow in terms of squad depth and losing another reinforcement in defence.

"But Holgate has shown his true Premier League quality, and has made that right-back position his own."

Gary Hutchinson:

"Yes, losing players is always a big blow.

"I am surprised with this, I can't understand why Manchester City want him back.

"He's not going to play there, it's counter-productive.

"Their under 23's side are out of the EFL Trophy now too, so he won't get game time there."

Jacob Potter:

"This is a frustrating blow for West Brom’s promotion hopes.

"Although he may not have featured as much as he would have hoped for, Adarabioyo was a useful player to rely on for Darren Moore over the busy set of fixtures recently.

"He’ll need to find a short-term replacement for the loanee so that he can maintain the strong depth in defence in his West Brom side."
