‘I am so angry and sick of this team’ – Nottingham Forest fans furious as side suffer heavy home defeat

Nottingham Forest were brought back down to earth last night following their win at league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers last week, as Aitor Karanka’s side were handed a 3-0 home defeat by play-off chasing Preston North End.

The Reds were completedly outclassed by their opponents from Lancashire, with goals from Billy Bodin, Tom Barkhuizen and Daniel Johnson handing Alex Neil’s side a comfortable win on the road.

Forest parted ways with former boss Mark Warburton earlier in the month following a string of inconsistent results, but new man Karanka has now won just one of his four games in charge.

Defeat rounds off a bad few days for the Reds, after they were dumped out of the FA Cup at Hull City having dispatched Premier League Arsenal in the previous round.

Tuesday result highlights the massive job Karanka faces to turn this side into promotion candidates, and fans were quick to have their say on their side’s abject display on Twitter…
