After the departure of Mick McCarthy, it is an uncertain time at Ipswich Town as they bed in a new manager and try to steady the ship.

Paul Hurst will be hoping for a much more positive season at the East Anglian club this time around and will be making his list of potential targets.

One position that the Tractor Boys will need to improve on is in their wide areas.

They currently only have three players who operate either on the left or the right of midfield in the form of Grant Ward, Jordan Roberts and Danny Rowe.

One man who could be brought in to help this problem is Scunthorpe United's Josh Morris.

Morris operates predominantly as a left-midfielder and is someone who racks up the goals and assists.

Last season he scored 11 and laid on five more for teammates.

So should Ipswich go for the Iron winger?

We discuss.

Jay Williams

Absolutely. Morris has proven over the last couple of years that he is too good for the Championship.

He provides goals, assists, creativity and will not be that expensive.

Chris Gallagher

He'd be a decent signing.
Ipswich need more creativity and goals in their side and he has been delivering for Scunthorpe. Looking in the lower leagues is sure to be their market and he is one who could make the step up.
Alfie Burns
Ipswich have been short of a creative spark for some time, and signing a player of Morris’ ability would resolve that. Morris is a player I’d love to see in the Championship.
Hurst should consider this. Gary Hutchinson  They need to sign someone! I think Ipswich fans are going to find out exactly what a sterling job Mick McCarthy did there during his tenure. Their recruitment has been less than inspiring and if Josh Morris is the sum of their ambitions this summer, it could be a long season. George Dagless  Hurst should definitely make a bid. Morris had a good season for the Iron and could be ready for that step up to the Championship. Certainly, Paul Hurst would appear the sort of manager that would get the best out of him.
