It has been a tough summer for Hull City, who have had to watch player after player head for the exit door.

The Tigers face a sizeable rebuilding task before the Championship begins.

One of the key players they have lost is Andrew Robertson, who recently completed his big move to Premier League giants Liverpool.

The Tigers have also been deserted by other important players like Harry Maguire, Curtis Davies, Tom Huddlestone and Josh Tymon, meaning they need reinforcement, particularly in their back line.

One player they should be eyeing up is Preston left back Greg Cunningham, whose stock has grown considerably since moving to the club two seasons ago.

Cunningham is now a crucial member of the Preston line up, and has slowly become one of the Championship's most underrated players.

Depending on Leonid Slutsky's chosen formation at Hull, he would be able to operate at both left back and left wing back, much like Robertson.

He also has a creative aspect to his game, managing to make five assists last year in his 40 appearances with Preston North End.

He has been targeted by the likes of Cardiff City this summer, who have been unable to make a move happen, but for Hull he would be a very strong signing, especially with the club needing players comfortable at Championship level with their squad heavily depleted right now.

Cunningham would be a very, very good signing for Slutsky as he desperately need bodies through the door.
