Hull City are set to make a bid for Jordan Jones, according to a report by The Yorkshire Post.

The Tigers, who were linked with Jones in January, are ready to lodge a new and improved offer for Jones amid growing interest from teams in Scotland and England.

Hull face competition for the winger's signature from a duo of Championship rivals in Derby County and Norwich City.

Frank Lampard is still looking to make his first signing since arriving as manager and Jones is a target, while Norwich are hoping to replace Josh Murphy and James Maddison, who have made big money moves to Cardiff City and Leicester City respectively.

League One side Sunderland are also keen with Jack Ross hoping to tap into the Scottish football market.

The PFA Scotland Manager of the Year was looking to the Kilmarnock wide man to provide creativity in midfield ahead of a promotion push.

Rangers are also keen on the 23-year-old with Kilmarnock facing a major battle to keep their star man.

The Northern Ireland international started his career at Middlesbrough but has carved a name for himself north of the border.

Jones could now be set for a return to England with Hull readying an opening offer of £600,000.

The Verdict

Jones is a young, exciting talent on the wings and his game has improved so much since he moved to the Scottish Premiership.

Kilmarnock know that they will not be able to keep him for too much longer and Hull seem very keen on snapping up this bargain.

The Yorkshire based outfit need to replace Harry Wilson's creativity on the wing, especially if Kamil Grosicki also departs, and options of Jarrod Bowen on one side and Jones on the other would give Hull plenty of attacking threat in games.
