Hull City are set for a potentially busy end to the transfer window as they prepare for a mixture of major outgoings as well as looking to replace those players.

Grant McCann has been relatively active in the transfer market this month, with three signings coming in already in the form of Herbie Kane from Liverpool, Martin Samuelsen from West Ham and Mallik Wilks from Barnsley.

There have been two first-team outgoings this month too, with Brandon Flemming signing for Bolton on-loan and David Milinkovic signing for Vancouver Whitecaps on-loan for the rest of the season.

The Tigers are currently in with a faint chance of the play-offs as they sit eight points behind sixth-placed Bristol City, however, their final league position will ultimately hinge on their ability to keep hold of key players, or find the best replacements possible before the deadline slams shut tomorrow night.

Here, we sift through the ongoing transfer speculation that surrounds the KCOM Stadium to see which futures could be resolved before tomorrow night…

Jarrod Bowen

There was only one place to start, and that is with one of the Championship’s most highly sought-after players. With 16 goals to his name this season and a contract running down, there was bound to be serious interest coming from the top end of the division and the Premier League.

Leeds United were one team that were said to have a genuine interest in Bowen’s services this month, according to Alan Nixon. However, this move fell by the wayside with the Whites clinching the deal for Jean-Kevin Augustin.

Now, it appears that Bowen’s destiny for the Premier League will approach much quicker than expected after Craig Hope revealed that Hull had accepted a £16million fee from Crystal Palace for the 23-year-old.

This deal has over a day for the Eagles to seal and could well see Bowen leave the Tigers very light for the rest of the season.

Kamil Grosicki

The news of outgoings doesn’t get any easier for Hull as it was revealed last night that Hull had allowed Kamil Grosicki the chance to speak to West Brom over a potential transfer to the Hawthorns.

The Poland international is out of contract in the summer and would be available for free in the summer as it would appear that he isn’t going to sign a new contract.

The reported fee for Grosicki is said to be £800,000, which is not too surprising given that he is running down his contract and would be free to leave in the summer.

Having had the news broke last night, Grant McCann confirmed today in his pre-match press conference that the club have granted Grosicki permission to seal the move:

Jordan Jones

With the departure of Grosicki imminent, McCann will be eager to replace him before the window shuts tomorrow night and one player that they have set their sights on is Rangers winger Jordan Jones.

As per the news that Grosicki was set to leave the club, Graeme Bailey also revealed that the Tigers’ prime target to replace him was Jones from the Scottish giants.

The main snag in this deal is that Rangers are demanding an obligation to buy in any loan deal for the winger, as Steven Gerrard is keen to get him off his hands.

Along with this, Hull face stiff competition as ‘half a dozen’ clubs have now held talks to sign him this month. However, the departure of both Grosicki and Bowen could force McCann’s hand into rushing this deal as a priority.

Do you know where these former Hull players are playing now?

Marcus Maddison

The Peterborough attacking midfielder has been in tremendous form this season, scoring nine and assisting six in 22 league appearances. With the outgoings setting off alarm bells at the KCOM Stadium that attackers are needed imminently, Football Insider have reported that the Tigers are readying a £2.5million bid to lure him away from London Road.

Maddison looks set to be playing Championship football at the very minimum next season as his contract also winds down into the final months, and with the departures giving Hull a bit more money to play around with, they may be able to give the Posh what they demand for him.

Markus Henriksen

The Norway international hasn’t played for the Tigers since the final game of last season as he looked for a summer move away from the club, which didn’t materialise.

In the meantime, he has been training away from the club in search of a move during the season, with one of those being his hometown club, Rosenborg.

Grant McCann also commented on Henriksen’s future in his press conference today, outlining that he is hopeful of being able to move him on before tomorrow night’s deadline:

Henriksen is keen to find a new club to keep his momentum up ahead of the European Championsnhips, which he is expected to be a part of Norway’s squad for, after playing nine times in qualification this season.
