Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen has come in for further praise after another impressive week for the Tigers.

Bowen was the standout performer at Hull picked up three points at Nottingham Forest in midweek. The forward, who plays predominantly out wide for his club, has already attracted Premier League interest over the last six months or so.

And Bowen has now been compared to Premier League striker, Jamie Vardy, by one former colleague.

"I've said it to a lot of lads, a lot of staff, especially coming from Leicester - he is one of the most clinical players I've ever played with,” former Hull defender Callum Elder told the Hull Daily Mail.

“He doesn't have many shots but he finds the back of the net time and time again. He's a joy to play with, he's so positive. He always wants to beat his man, he always wants to influence the game and I'm really enjoying being one of his team-mates."

Elder only played a handful of games with Bowen but saw enough of him to make comparisons with Leicester hero Vardy, adding:

"Jamie Vardy is obviously in that category of clinical but Bowen is up there, 100 per cent. Look at Jarrod's goal on Saturday against the run of play, touch and finish."

Bowen has already notched six times this season for the Tigers and will be looking to continue his fine form as his side host Derby County this afternoon.

The Verdict

This is a nice nod for Bowen and not surprising given his form in the last two years.

A Premier League move is surely going to be on the cards sooner rather than later for the forward, with plenty of clubs keeping a close eye on Bowen.

Hull don't have too many brilliant options going forward but in Bowen, they have a genuine match-winner.
