Hull City have witnessed a number of departures from the KCOM Stadium this summer, and time is rapidly expiring as boss Leonid Slutsky looks to replace and improve upon those who have left Humberside in the past few weeks.

The latest man out the door is Scottish full back Andrew Robertson, who despite suffering relegation last season, has earned a move to top four contenders Liverpool, and will potentially play Champions League football next season.

Slutsky must replace the impressive defender, and may consider a switch for Everton youngster Luke Garbutt, who may look to leave Goodison this summer with opportunities set to be limited yet again.

The 24-year-old spent a spell on loan at Wigan last season having enjoyed a year with Fulham the season before, but with Leighton Baines firmly ahead of him in the pecking order, manager Ronald Koeman may let the player leave on loan once more.

Garbutt is not a million miles away from breaking into the first team on a regular basis, and a successful spell with the Tigers could propel him into the Dutchman’s plans in a year’s time.

The 5 ft 10 in full back has appeared in 5 Premier League games for the Toffees since making his debut in 2011, and is still young enough to one day make the left back berth his own at Goodison.

A good year on the Humber and we could be seeing the emergence of Everton’s new starting left back.
