Hull City are set to announce the arrival of attacking midfielder Adama Traore, as per a report from Hull Live

A transfer pursuit that has been ongoing for a rather long time, it appears that the Tigers are now in the position to welcome the 27-year-old to the MKM Stadium.

Traore had signed terms with the Championship outfit early last month, however, he picked up a hamstring injury that has since prevented much progress from being made.

The report suggests that the Tigers are not yet near to completing their summer transfer business despite a strong start to the new campaign, with the likes of Halil Dervişoğlu and Ryan Woods set to join the Tigers,

Hull Live have also stated that the Tigers are looking at bringing in competition for right-back Lewie Coyle.

The verdict

The Tigers have enjoyed a productive start to the summer window, and whilst a number of incomings have arrived as unknown entities within English football, they have made a strong start to the new campaign.

Hull's pursuit of Traore has been within the media's eye for quite a while now, with his lengthy spell on the sidelines unlikely to stop the deal from going through.

Deals for Dervişoğlu and Woods also seem close to completion, something that massively bolsters competition levels but will give Arveladze a constant headache when it comes to squad selection.

Currently sitting at the top of the Championship pile, Hull will be hoping to continue putting together a push for promotion, with their summer thus far justifying the optimism around the club at the moment.
