According to a report by The Hull Daily Mail, Hull City manager Leonid Slutsky has acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding his long term future at the KCOM Stadium, admitting that he might face the sack if he cannot turn the Tigers' form around.

The midweek goalless draw against Millwall left Hull in 20th place in the Championship and without a win in five matches.

After suffering relegation last season, Hull City fans would not have been expecting to sit just four points shy of the relegation zone by the end of November.

The Hull owners are reportedly considering alternatives if Slutsky cannot fire Hull back up the table.

Ahead of today's clash against Bristol City, Hull manager Slutsky admitted that his position was precarious.

He said: “This is a very interesting time for me.

“Each training session, each official match is a big challenge for me.

“I am disappointed with our results now and I thought this situation was easy.

"I thought I could decide all our problems.

"I try but it’s not easy.

“If I will have one, two or three, I don’t know how many matches, I will try to change the situation in each match.

“It’s a very difficult life for each player or coach if you don’t have a win in a long time and of course everybody will try and change the situation.”

The Verdict

Hull manager Leonid Slutsky has certainly had a slow start to life in the Championship and Tigers fans are expecting much more.

But to sack him now would be a mistake.

Perhaps it would be better if Hull see how December goes and if Slutsky cannot turn things around next month, bring in a new boss for the January transfer window.
