AEK Athens have been offered the chance to sign Nouha Dicko, with the striker's future at Hull City looking uncertain.

The 27-year-old signed for the Tigers from Wolves in the summer of 2017, scoring five goals in his first season at the KCOM Stadium under Leonid Slutsky and Nigel Adkins.

After falling out of favour under Adkins the following season and scoring only two goals, Dicko was sent on loan to Vitesse Arnhem at the beginning of this season.

The forward has since endured a mixed spell in Holland, scoring four goals in 19 matches before the Eredivisie campaign was brought to a premature end.

Dicko's contract at the KCOM Stadium expires next month, and with Hull set to bid farewell to the striker, reports from Greece via the Hull Daily Mail claim that he has been offered to AEK Athens.

Athens are said to be among those interest, and it is claimed that wages could be a stumbling block in Dicko's attempts to leave the Yorkshire club, but a move to Europe could be on the cards for the Mali forward.

The Verdict

After falling from grace since an impressive spell at Wolves, it seems that Dicko's time in England is coming to an end and that's probably for the best.

He's a high earner who hasn't done enough to prove his worth to Hull in recent seasons, and it could be best to get him off the wage bill ahead of next season.

He's lost his prolific touch in front of goal, and a move to another country could do him the world of good.
