Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki has admitted that he received offers to leave the KCOM Stadium this summer but ultimately chose to stay at the club.

The 31-year-old, who has made six appearances for the Tigers this season, is currently on international duty with Poland.

Since joining Hull two years ago for an undisclosed fee from French side Stade Rennais (via Sky Sports), Grosicki has emerged as a crucial player for the club with his performances last season being nothing short of exceptional.

As well firing in nine goals in the Championship, the winger was also to provide 12 assists for his Hull team-mates.

Whilst it is fair to say that Grosicki has yet to fully click into gear for the Tigers this year, he has nevertheless managed to demonstrate glimpses of his brilliant best during the club's recent clashes with Swansea City and Millwall.

Speaking to Polish outlet Przeglad Sportowy (as cited by Sport Witness) about interest from elsewhere this summer, the winger said: "Yes (I had offers), but they were not interesting proposals, so I didn't bother with them.

"There is a lot of talk, and then nothing comes of it.

"I don't have an agent; my co-operation with Thomas Kroth is over.

"I wanted to see how it is without an agent.

"Everyone knew this, and a lot of people called me to sign the authorisation for representation.

"But at a high level, you need to have an agent, and I certainly regret that I did not have a contract with a serious agent."

The Verdict

Whilst it is not exactly surprising that Grosicki was the subject of considerable interest from elsewhere during the transfer window given just how good he was last year, Hull would have been mightily relieved when he opted to stay at the KCOM Stadium.

Unquestionably one of the best players in the Championship when performing at his maximum, the winger could help the Tigers achieve a relative amount of success this season providing that he stays fit.

Although he may end up leaving for free when his contract expires next summer (via Transfermarkt), Grosicki will nevertheless be wanting to produce some moments of real quality over the coming months.
