Championship club Hull City are interested in signing Hearts forward Uche Ikpeazu according to a report by The Sun.

The report claims that Scottish Premiership rivals Celtic and Rangers both interested in the 24-year-old, with Hull also keen on signing the striker.

Ikpeazu has scored six goals in 20 appearances for Hearts since joining from League Two side Cambridge United on a free transfer in the summer.

His impressive performances for the Scottish Premiership outfit have attracted the attention of both Celtic and Rangers, with Premier League Cardiff also thought to be keen on signing the striker.

The report states that a move to Cardiff would be more likely for Ikpeazu, if Neil Warnock's side are relegated to the Championship.

Ikpeazu recently signed a new deal with Hearts to extend his stay at the club until 2022 and the report states that the Scottish Premiership club would want around £1million for the player.

Hull City are currently 12th in the Championship table, five points outside the play-off places, but it seems manager Nigel Adkins already has one eye building his squad for next season.

The Verdict:

Ikpeazu could be a good signing for Adkins and Hull City, he is a strong, powerful forward who has a decent goal scoring record.

However, with Celtic and Rangers both keen on signing the striker, the Tigers could face serious competition from other clubs for his signature.
