Hull City have taken part in informal talks regarding a deal for Jarrod Bowen.

Bowen has been heavily linked with a move away from Hull City with the likes of Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United all previously credited with an interest.

While no concrete offers have been made, it seems that some discussions have taken place.

According to Hull Live, informal discussions have taken place with several interested parties.

The report claims that one club made a proposal to loan the 23-year-old for the remainder of the season with a view to buy in the summer, only to be told that such a deal was not plausible.

While it remains to be seen whether an offer will be made, one thing is certain and that's that any interested parties will have to cough up the cash.

Hull Live's report claims that it would take an offer of £20million before the Tigers will even consider a deal.

That has been enough to deter any advances in the January transfer window, but with two weeks to go there's plenty of time yet.

The verdict

Hull City will be delighted with the lack of interest in Jarrod Bowen.

The 23-year-old is pivotal to the Tigers' hopes of success this term and the fact that he could stick around until the end of the season is a big boost.

With just two weeks left in the window everyone around the KCOM Stadium will be praying that the phone doesn't start ringing.
