Hull City group issue message for fans following protests against Sheffield United

Hull City fans made their feelings known last night when they once again staged a form of protest during the live game on Sky against playoff hopefuls Sheffield United at the K-Com Stadium.

The Tigers fans threw balls onto the field midway through the first half, while a hoard of whistles could be heard throughout the game as the fans made their feelings known once again towards owner Assem Allam.

Following the protests last night, Hull’s lead protest group in the campaign, Hull City Action for Change, issued a statement thanking fans for taking part in the protests and gave an indication on the next steps they want to get resolved within the club.

“Last night, supporters showed their continued dissatisfaction at the failure of the club to address their reasonable concerns. We welcome the meeting on Monday and see this as an opportunity to begin using our proper name, Hull City AFC and begin the reintroduction of concessions’.

The main issues highlighted by the group include ticket pricing structures, particularly the inclusion of concession options, and the club using its proper name going forward.

This season has been largely overshadowed by off the field matters for the Tigers, with new manager Nigel Adkins doing his best to lead his side to safety following a miserable opening few months to the season.

Hull fans, what did you make of last night? Let us know in the comments!
