Hull City manager Leonid Slutsky has said that his team might need to win ugly and forget about the football if they are to climb away from the bottom of the Championship table.

In a report by the Sunday Mirror, Print Edition, Sunday 12th November 2017, the Tigers boss lambasted his sides character, and spoke of 'including some special exercises on the training pitch' to try and change the character of his team, which he called 'not right at the moment'.

Hull have seen their start to the Championship campaign take a tumble after winning only two of the last nine games under Slutsky, and the manager is now counting on his side to turn things round in order to save his job at the KCom.

However, Slutsky admitted that 'sometimes, he does not have the answer', and that he was interested to see how his players react to a 'stressful situation'.

Following relegation from the Premier League, many expected Hull to be right up there and challenging for promotion straight back to the top flight. Things have not gone to plan though, and with some off field issues still plaguing the club, Slutsky has a job on his hands to keep the Tigers going and clear of any relegation worries.

Hull fans, what do you think to Slutsky's comments? Do you agree? Let us know in the comments!
