Hull City want to sign Chelsea defender Ola Aina on loan, according to All Nigeria Soccer.
All Nigeria Soccer understand that Hull City have made initial enquiries about taking Ola Aina on a season-long loan deal.
Hull City are aiming to rebuild their squad after key players Harry Maguire and Curtis Davies departed.
Many are expected to follow out of the exit door including Ahmed Elmohamady, Andy Robertson, Josh Tymon, Eldin Jakupovic, Sam Clucas, Kamil Grosicki, Tom Huddlestone and more.
New manager Leonid Slutsky has a challenge on his hands at Hull.
The former CSKA Moscow and Russian national team manager is planning to utilise his relationship with close friend and fellow countryman Roman Abramovich, who is the multi-billionaire owner of Chelsea.
Slutsky will look to sign a number of players from the Premier League champions and they have enquired about Ola Aina’s availability for loan.
The former England under-20 international, who has pledged his international future to Nigeria, was seen as part of Chelsea’s first team squad last season but struggled to get much playing time.
Aina managed five games in total with only two of those coming in the Premier League.
As a result, the 5ft 9in right-back might fancy a move to Hull to continue his progression.
The 20-year-old would compete with Moses Odubajo for the starting right-back spot if Ahmed Elmohamady leaves.
Hull fans – would Aina be a good signing? Let us know below…
