Hull City defender Michael Dawson is wanted by Premier League club Burnley, according to a report in the Hull Daily Mail.
The experienced defender was a solid enough performer for the club last season despite the Tigers being relegated back to the Championship, and it appears now that Burnley manager Sean Dyche wants to take him back to the Premier League.
Dawson, now 33, was an England international in his prime, but still has plenty to offer at the top level, and Clarets manager Dyche clearly things he can offer something for at least another season in the Premier League.
With Burnley expecting big bids for star man Michael Keane over the summer, any reinforcements are likely to be more than welcome by Dyche, and Dawson would no doubt slot straight into the side at Turf Moor given his all action style.
The report claims that Burnley are readying a bid of around £2m for the former Spurs defender, but it remains to be seen whether Hull will be tempted to cash in on their centre half.
Hull fans, what do you think to this? Good to sell Dawson? Let us know!
